Pesticide Application Re-Certification (PAC) Program

The Pesticide Applicators Certification program provides an alternative to growers having to re-test every five years.

Instead, growers can obtain credits by attending courses throughout the five year period of certification, and renew their certificate through credits rather than writing the exam again.

For Growers: When is a Pesticide Applicators Certificate Required?

As part of our Member Services, the BCFGA:

  1. Gains approval from the Ministry of Environment for PAC courses so growers who attend can earn PAC points.
  2. Tracks course attendance and keeps records of growers’ PAC points.
  3. Submits the recertification request to the Minister of Environment on the growers’ behalf.

This service is free for members or $100 for non-members (paid upon re-certification).

For Trainers: Requesting PAC Points for Your Event

Ready to Start Tracking PAC Points?

  1. Attend and sign in at PAC events. Collect 20 PAC points with a minimum of 3 points in categories A, B, and C
  2. Pay the renewal fee online through the PAC Portal
  3. BCFGA will submit your request, report card, and payment to the Ministry for review
  4. Upon approval, the Ministry will send you a new certificate and PAC Number
  5. Update your new PAC information in the portal
  6. Collect points over the next five years and repeat these steps!
