Seasonal Agricultural Worker Program (SAWP) - Mexican and Caribbean workers

For growers who demonstrate a shortage of workers (through advertising), temporary foreign workers from Mexico and the Caribbean are available.  A self-help information kit is available to BCFGA members, as well as a service ($50 for first worker and $10 per additional worker) for those growers who want additional help in filling out forms and follow-up with the government agencies.  Interested growers should contact Bunvir Nijjer at (250) 762-5226 ext. 4

NOTES:

The minimum SAWP wage for 2019 is $12.65 per hour plus 4% vacation pay. Please note the minimum wage is increasing to $13.85 per hour as of June 1, 2019.
