COVID-19 Campsite Hygiene Program for 2020The Ministry of Agriculture is pleased to announce the following funding program to support B.C. Tree Fruit Growers during this stressful time of harvesting during the COVID-19 pandemic. Consumers rely on your hard work to get your harvest out to them so that they can enjoy the awesome fruit that is locally grown. We trust that this funding program will help you in handling your increased work and expenses due to Public Health Officers COVID-19 requirements to keep your farm workers safe and healthy.
The B.C. Domestic Temporary Farm Workers COVID-19 PPE Supports Program is a cost-shared initiative that supports farmers and growers housing Domestic Temporary Farm Workers (DTFW) on-farm in temporary structures such as trailers, campers and tents. The program will reimburse up to 70% of costs for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to a maximum of $1,000 per organization within eligible guidelines. Participants will assume the full cost of the eligible PPE and then seek reimbursement from the program, via claim submission, for their expense.
Please carefully review the Program Guide for important information on eligibility and program guidelines necessary to prepare your application. If you have any questions regarding the process or as you are developing your application, please do not hesitate to contact AGRIServiceBC ([email protected] / 1-888-221-7141)
