BC's interior tree fruit industry represents 800 growers operating orchards that generate $130 million in wholesale revenue, contribute $900 million in economic activity, and directly employs 1,500 person years at the grower, packer, and processor level.
Membership
Services and products are provided at a discount to members. In order to carry out these activities effectively, the BCFGA relies on good communication with its members, through individual board members, committee members, and staff. The BCFGA also published an informative newsletter on a monthly basis.

Promotion of Healthy Living Choices - Promoting healthy eating will provide enormous savings in health care budgets. Childhood obesity is leading to concerns that the current generation of children may have shorter life expectations than their parents, for the first time in recorded history.
